Shareholders are referred to the resultsannouncement released on SENS on 14 November 2011 in which it was noted that the Group was considering changing its year-end to coincide with that of Steinhoff International Holdings Limited (“Steinhoff”). This was as a result of Steinhoff’s shareholding exceeding 30% in the total issued share capital of the Company.

The JD Group board of directors, the JSE Limited and the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission have now approved the change in financial year-end of the Company from 31 August to 30 June of each year.

The Group will publish and distribute four month interim results for the period 1 September 2011 to 31 December 2011 toward the beginning of March 2012, and ten month results for the period 1 September 2011 to 30 June 2012 towards the beginning of September 2012.
